Carbon brush comprises a brush body (2) having a profile line (18) which extends along the running surface (15) of the brush body. The profile line has a convex section (20) on which the brush body lies in a convex manner. An independent claim is also included for a d.c. motor comprising a commutator and the above carbon brush.
