<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting the density of an image and outputting the corrected image even if there is a deviation between positional information of density correction and positional information of an image output in the case that the density of the image is corrected depending on the positional information and the image is outputted depending on the positional information. <P>SOLUTION: A processing control section 76 outputs a front rear magnification switching signal for changing the magnification of images formed on both sides of paper. An address counter 80 changes a clock frequency in response to the setting entered from a scanning setting section 78 to produce an address (positional information) when optical writers 40a to 40d emit scanning light. An address correction section 84 corrects the address in response to the front rear magnification switching signal received from the processing control section 76 and outputs the address after the correction to a density correction section 86 when the image is formed on the rear side of the paper. Upon the receipt of the address after the correction from the address correction section 84, the density correction section 86 uses a LUT 92 to correct the density of the image data in response to the address after the correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
