<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and simply connect various kinds of connection equipment with a display device having many connection terminals. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a plurality of connection terminals for connecting the connection equipment such as a videocassette recorder, a DVD player via a cable. The display device has a connection equipment selection function S1 for selecting the connection equipment on a screen of a display part, a connection state selection function S2 for selecting connection states of an AV cable and a D terminal cable, a confirmation function S6 for confirming a connection state of connection equipment at present, a registration function S8 for newly registering newly connected connection equipment and an information function S4 for informing a user of a connection terminal to be connected by making an light emitting element attached to the connection terminal emit light.
