<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit integral liquid crystal display device with improved numerical aperture. <P>SOLUTION: Methods for manufacturing an array substrate for a liquid crystal display device comprises a step for forming first and second semiconductor layers, located in the non-display area of a substrate, and a third semiconductor layer located in the display area; a step for forming a gate insulating film, and forming first to third gate electrodes, each corresponding to the central part of the respective semiconductor layers, and a gate wiring connected to the third gate electrode; a step for forming an interlayer insulating film having first to third contact holes on each gate insulating film; a step for forming first to third source electrodes and first to third drain electrodes on the interlayer insulating film, and a data wiring that is connected to the third source electrode; a step for a protection layer, having a drain contact hole that is located over the source electrodes, the drain electrodes, and the data wiring; a step for forming a pixel electrode that is connected to the third drain electrode; and a step for forming a black matrix that is located in the non-display area of the pixel electrode and in the non-pixel area of the display area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
