<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MVA system semi-transmission liquid crystal display panel which prevents light leakage from the inclined surface of a top coat layer for cell gap adjustment of a reflection part and has an improved contrast and a satisfactory image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The MVA system semi-transmission liquid crystal display panel 10 comprises: a first substrate provided with a pixel electrode 19 having a slit 33 between a transmission part 16 and the reflection part 15, a reflection plate 18 and an auxiliary capacitance line 21 disposed on the lower side of the reflection plate; a second substrate which is provided with the top coat layer 27 and alignment regulating means 31, 32 and has a common electrode formed on the surface thereof; vertically aligned films laminated on the first substrate and the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer which is disposed between both of the substrates and has negative dielectric anisotropy, wherein the auxiliary capacitance line 21 is extended from a position corresponding to the reflection part up to the slit beyond the position corresponding to the top coat layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
