<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately know an operation method in response to an operation status of an external apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a data communication system 100 where a digital camera 200 as an external apparatus is connected to a computer device 300 as an information processor, the computer device 300 acquires operation mode information of the digital camera 200 when the digital camera 200 is connected thereto, and displays a screen of explanation of operation of the digital camera 200 on a CRT monitor 301 based on the result thereof.
