PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a format efficiency of a storage device, and also to improve quality. SOLUTION: The storage device is so configured that: an SM (servosync mark) interval calculation part calculates a servo mark interval on a track; a deviation measuring part measures a deviation at a write point and stores it in the storage part; an abnormality informing part informs an abnormality when the deviation is a predetermined value or more; and a compensation processing part performs compensation processing of servo mark detection timing according to the deviation.
