PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent image by properly restricting the position of a lens group in a photographic state and to make size in an optical-axis direction small in a collapsed state. SOLUTION: In the photographic state, the cam follower 15a of a first lens holding frame of a first lens group having the highest eccentricity sensitivity abuts against the end of a cam groove 18c of a first rotary cylinder 18 without any clearance and positional accuracy of the first lens group is strictly restricted by the end of the cam groove 18c. During the above process, a rectilinear through groove 19b has a clearance at an end. At the same time, the cam follower 16a of a second lens holding frame of a second lens group and the cam follower 14a of a shutter unit have slight clearances at any of ends of cam grooves 18d and 18e and the end of a rectilinear through groove 19c.
