PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular seat for erecting a seatback in a forwardly collapsed state up to an erected state by an electric motor 33, which is capable of preventing the electric motor 33 from forming a resistance when the seatback 25 is forwardly collapsed by a spring. SOLUTION: The electric motor 33 and a drive gear 62 to be driven by the electric motor 33 are provided on the seatback 25, and a driven gear 65 to be engaged with the drive gear 62 is supported by a vehicle body concentrically with the center of rotation of the seatback 25. When the electric motor 33 is operated, the rotation of the driven gear 65 is prevented, and the seatback 25 is erected so that the drive gear 62 is rotatably moved around the driven gear 65. When the seatback 25 is forwardly collapsed, the driven gear 65 is set to be rotatable with respect to the vehicle body so that the driven gear 65 is integrated with the seatback 25 and rotated in the forwardly collapsing direction of the seatback. An output shaft of the electric motor 33 need not be rotated in the reverse direction, and the electric motor 33 does not act as the forwardly collapsing resistance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
