<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device having a high luminance, emitting a light closer to a natural light, and having a few deviation in luminescent color caused by an increase and a decrease in emitted light intensity. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device 1 comprises a light source 2 for emitting the light having a peak wavelength of 350 nm to 420 nm, and a fluorescent material 3 for absorbing at least a part of the light from the light source 2 and emitting the light having a wavelength different from that of the source 2. One or more organic fluorescent materials are used as the fluorescent material 3, a luminous efficiency of the device 1 is not less than 20 lm/W, and an average color rendering rating index Ra is not less than 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
