<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perovskite type compound oxide particle which can be used as an electrode catalyst of a fuel cell or the like and has excellent durability and to provide a method for producing the perovskite type compound oxide particle. <P>SOLUTION: The perovskite type compound oxide particle consists of a single crystal particle of a perovskite type compound oxide, has 5-50 nm average particle size, which is calculated by using the results measured by using a transmission electron microscope, and contains a noble metal in a crystal lattice of the single crystal particle. The method for producing the noble metal-containing perovskite type compound oxide particle comprises the steps of: adding an aqueous solution of salts of metals constituting the perovskite type compound oxide to an alkaline aqueous solution to obtain a suspension containing a hydroxide or a hydrate; adjusting the pH of the suspension to 5-13; and heating the pH-adjusted suspension at 110-300°C in the presence of water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
