PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for drive of an electrolytic capacitor which can prevent tanδfrom increasing over long period of time even under high temperature. SOLUTION: An electrostatic capacity of an electrolytic capacitor can be prevented from decreasing, and the tanδcan be prevented from increasing under high temperature by suppressing a radical oxidation reaction of electrolyte, in such a way that benzoic acid, formic acid, 1, 6-decane dicarboxylic acid, carboxylic acid such as sebacic acid or the like or its ammonium, salt such as diethylamine or the like, and oenanthic acid allyl indicated by a chemical formula below are combined to a solvent consisting of ethylene glycol as a principal component.
