PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle planning support system for shortening the development period of a new vehicle. SOLUTION: This vehicle planning support system for supporting vehicle planning by constructing a planned vehicle model is provided with a database 1 in which vehicle data for planned vehicle model construction are stored and a computer 2 for constructing a planned vehicle model by using the vehicle data. The vehicle data include a performance evaluation value calculated by digitizing the performance evaluation of a vehicle for each prescribed evaluation item and change influence data with which the fluctuation of a performance evaluation value due to the change of the components of the vehicle is associated for a plurality of existing vehicles. The computer sets a target value based on the distribution of the performance evaluation values of existing vehicles, and constructs a reference vehicle model based on the vehicle data of the existing vehicles, and calculates a performance evaluation value, and corrects the performance evaluation value based on the change influence data for a planned vehicle model whose configuring elements have been changed, and compares the target value with the performance evaluation value of the planned vehicle, and obtains target achievement.
