PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based coating which exhibits excellent stain resistance, weather resistance and freezing damage resistance. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a water dispersive low stain type coating material is a water-dispersible resin composition comprising (A) binder resin particles and (B) colloidal silica particles, in which a ratio of an average particle diameter D<SB>A</SB>of (A) component to an average particle diameter D<SB>B</SB>of (B) component in the resin composition is in a prescribed range.
