PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot melt adhesive comprising a styrene-conjugated diene-based block copolymer and improved in kneadability, to provide a method for producing the adhesive, and to provide an adhesive tape using the hot melt adhesive. SOLUTION: The hot melt adhesive comprises (A) 60-95 pts.mass at least one block copolymer selected from a block copolymer of styrene with isoprene and a block copolymer of styrene with butadiene, (B) 5-40 pts.mass syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene having≥70% 1,2-bond content and 5-50% degree of crystallization, [wherein, (A)+(B)=100 pts.mass], and contains, based on 100 pts.mass of the (A)+(B) total, (C) 40-300 pts.mass tackifier resin and (D) 0-200 pts.mass softener.
