PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device with two nip rollers contacting a discharge roller, for stably and reliably carrying media. SOLUTION: The first nip roller 52 is thrust against the discharge roller 51 by a thrust spring 55. The thrust is utilized for displacing the discharge roller 51 to the side of the second nip roller 53 to contact the second nip roller 53. Thus, carrying force is reliably granted to the recording media on the side of the first nip roller 52 located upstream in the carrying direction and on the side of the second nip roller 53 located upstream in the carrying direction, and so the recording media can be stably and reliably carried.
