PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the versatility of a bone fixation plate by devising the disposition of a suture hole for fixing a fracture. SOLUTION: A fracture fixation system includes a plate 10 having first and second suture anchor locations 50 and 52 having openings 54a and 56a at the upper surface of the plate, openings 54b and 56b at the proximal end of the plate, and an opening 54c at the anterior side of the plate and an opening 56c at the posterior side of the plate respectively, and defines first and second suture pathways A1 and A2 which cross within the plate 10 and third and fourth suture pathways A3 and A4 which cross within the plate 10. The first and second suture pathways include a common opening and the third and fourth suture pathways also share a common opening. Thus, each suture anchor location is capable of providing a hold for suture from multiple approaches to secure tuberosities relative to the plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
