Liquid organopolysiloxanes comprising units of the general formula <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>R<SUB>a</SUB>X<SUB>b</SUB>SiO<SUB>(4-a-b)/2</SUB> (I),<?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> where R is a hydrocarbon group, X is halogen or an alkoxy group, and b is 0-3, with the proviso that the sum a +b is <=3, a is 1 in at least 50% of the units of the organopolysiloxane and the organopolysiloxanes are liquid at 20° C. and a pressure of from 900 to 1100 hPa.
