PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue detection device which adequately detects fatigue of a driver when physical conditions vary every time the same driver takes the wheel or when the driver changes to the other driver. SOLUTION: The fatigue detection device includes a driving state detection means for detecting a driving state of the driver, a visually confirming behavior detection means for detecting prescribed visually confirming behaviors from the detected driving state, a reference value setting means for setting a reference value for the frequency of the prescribed visually confirming behaviors, and a fatigue determining means for determining that the driver experiences fatigue when the frequency of the detected prescribed visually confirming behaviors is different from the reference value.
