The method involves preventing dazzling by utilizing information of surroundings of vehicles. Vehicles, present in the surrounding of road vehicle, are recognized by sensor technology and the relative position of the vehicle is determined, e.g. by GPS. The interdependence of the relative positions of the vehicle is aligned relative to the radiation characteristic of the lighting whereby radiation pattern resulting from the lighting reflections is determined, which leads to dazzling. An INDPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the device for lighting control.
