A quake-resistant frame body having, while having increased quake resistance by braces (20), a simplified structure and reduced size, an increased horizontal displacement amount (U) of a frame (10) by which the braces (20) are broken, and reduced initial rigidity. A pair of the braces (20) connected to the opposing corners of the frame (10) does not have tension until the horizontal displacement amount (U) of the frame (10) reaches a predetermined level (Us), and has tension when the horizontal displacement amount (U) of the frame (10) exceeds the predetermined level (Us).
