<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical network unit capable of saving power in a case where an access line is an optical line. <P>SOLUTION: An optical network unit (ONU) 100 capable of receiving predetermined information transmitted from an OLT 70 via an optical fiber comprises a plurality of predetermined circuit parts 4, 5, 6, a power source part 1, a plurality of switches 3 and a power source control part 2. In such a case, the power source part 1 individually supplies power to the plurality of predetermined circuit parts 4, 5, 6. Furthermore, the plurality of switches 3 are individually disposed between the predetermined circuit parts 4, 5, 6 and the power source part 1.
