<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording apparatus in which servo control in recording data can be performed appropriately by setting a sampling period in accordance with a kind of an optical disk in which data is recorded. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk recording apparatus 1, when data is recorded in an optical disk 10 set in the main body, a sampling period in which various signals used for servo control are sampled is set based on parameters of write-strategy for this optical disk 10.
