<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for inhibiting excess accumulation of fat in a fat cell, as a new material expected to have effects for preventing or relieving topical or overall obesity based on differentiation-inhibiting activities and lipolytic activities of a progenitor fat cell; and to provide a food, an external composition and a medicine containing the composition for inhibiting the accumulation of the fat and suitably used for antiobestic applications. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for inhibiting the accumulation of the fat is prepared by formulating an extract of Japanese horseradish with a water-containing solvent, preferably, an extract with the water-containing solvent prepared through a step for extracting at least one position selected from a rhizome, a stalk and a leaf of the Japanese horseradish as an active ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
