PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shifting control device for an automatic transmission, switching an ordinary first speed change schedule to a second speed change schedule for sports driving, preventing the occurrence of a state where although the engine rotating speed is comparatively high, the acceleration of a vehicle is not increased, the so-called "slow-motion feeling" in running according to the second speed schedule to thereby surely satisfy a request for sports driving such as driver's acceleration request. SOLUTION: In the step S17, an up-shift command for a speed change stage is given to shift up a speed change stage of the automatic transmission by one stage.
