PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide re-dispersible plastic powder which is composed of a vinyl ester polymer highly including solid components and shows excellent re-dispersibility. SOLUTION: In the method for producing re-dispersible plastic powder, monomer components including at least one of straight or branched 2 to 12C mono-carboxylic vinyl ester is polymerized by using a water-soluble cationic azo polymerization initiator at 40 to 90°C to prepare a polymer including vinyl homo- or copolymer that is stabilized with protective colloid and contains at least 45 wt.% of solid components. The obtained polymer dispersion is combined with polyvinyl alcohol, then spray-dried whereby the re-dispersible plastic powder is produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
