PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform data communication with good transfer efficiency in vehicle-to-vehicle communication. SOLUTION: The data communication device comprises a storage part 101, a communication part 102, a communication control part 103, and an update part 104. The storage part 10 stores navigation data necessary for navigation processing including map data. The communication part 102 performs communication of a plurality of split data obtained by dividing the navigation data with another mobile body present around a mobile body. The communication control part 103 controls the communication part 102 so as to transmit split data corresponding to a transmitting request from another mobile body to this mobile body, and also controls the communication part 102 so as to receive split data corresponding to a receiving request by the mobile body from another mobile body.
