PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output subsidiary information even if the reproducing apparatus does not store the subsidiary information, in a reproducing apparatus obtaining information from an information source and reproducing it, while outputting subsidiary information corresponding to information being reproduced. SOLUTION: An audio apparatus 1 performs reproduction by switching a CD mode using a drive 20 as a sound source, a changer mode using a changer 32 as the sound source, and a MC mode using music data in a music information storing part 23 recorded in the CD mode and the changer mode as the sound source. The apparatus has a function for obtaining a user title corresponding to music data being reproduced from a memory 24 and displaying it on a display part 27. When the corresponding user title does not exist in the memory 24, the user title stored in an information storing part 31 in association with the changer mode is obtained, and displayed by the display part 27.
