PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band heater easy for mounting, that does not need a large space in the periphery thereof for mounting and after the heater was mounted. SOLUTION: The band heater 1 to be placed on the outer peripheral plane of a cylindrical member 6 has a heating member 2, a conductive wire 4, a housing 3, and an engaging means 5. The engaging means 5 has an engaging member 511 placed along the peripheral direction of the outer periphery of the housing 3. The engaging member 511 make the both ends of the housing 3 become close each other. The conductive wire 4 is placed at the inside of the radial direction from the outer periphery of the housing 3 and the engaging means 5.
