PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond quickly for a request about data recorded in an information recording medium. SOLUTION: Management information (the number of sessions, the number of tracks, a track address, or the like) concerning recording of data is obtained as an answer for obtaining request by regarding a plurality of tracks and sessions as a few pseudo tracks and sessions (step 407, step 419, step 425, step 426) in response to obtaining request of data management information in an information recording medium which is divided into a plurality of data areas such as a track, a session, and in which data is recorded.
