摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent optical recording method, an optical recording apparatus, an optical recording medium, and an optical reproducing method, which can efficiently control deviation quantity in the optical axes of a plurality of laser beams which may be generated from errors in an optical recording and reproducing apparatus in recording or reproduction, or focus or tracking control by using a plurality of laser beams such as servo light, information light and reference light. SOLUTION: The optical recording method or the like includes a focus point controlling step for irradiating an optical recording medium provided with a recording layer for recording information by using holography and having at least one focus point pattern recorded in the recording layer with recording light and controlling the focal length L of the recording light so that the focal length L expressing a length between an objective lens previously set on the optical path of the recording light and the focus of the objective length coincides with length BL between the focus point of the focus point pattern of the recording layer and the objective lens, and an interference image recording step for irradiating a position other than the focus point pattern on the recording layer with the recording light whose focus length L is controlled to form an interference image and then recording the interference image on the recording layer.
