The bed can be moved on castors (2) and is equipped with the standard lifting and lowering facilities for particular parts. It can also be adjusted regarding its length and has telescopic railings (5). The railings (5) are designed as flat central elements (6) sliding on flat segments extending horizontally from the head- the foot-board (3,4) respectively and provided with ribs for a better grip. The same arrangement is used as a cover (9) for the lateral parts of the bed frame (1).
