PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make inconspicuous boundaries of respective blocks being units wherein luminance of pixels is corrected.

SOLUTION: A plurality of pixels P are arrayed in a matrix in an X direction and a Y direction. Luminance of the respective pixels P is corrected according to correction values R. A memory 35 of an image processing apparatus 30 stores correction coefficients Dc for a plurality of blocks obtained by sectioning the plurality of pixels P. A correction value specifying circuit 33 specifies the correction value R for each of the plurality of pixels P based upon a correction coefficient Dc of the block B that the pixel P belongs to among the plurality of correction coefficients Dc stored in the memory 35. At least one block B among the plurality of blocks B includes a pixel P which is adjacent to one pixel P of a block B adjacent to the block B in the X direction and a pixel P which is adjacent in the Y direction.
