<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display having satisfactory coloring in both a reflection mode and a transmission mode and capable of making (Δn×d) appropriate in the both modes and to provide an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display constituted of a liquid crystal panel 40 comprising a color filter substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 which sandwich a liquid crystal layer 30 and are disposed opposite to each other and a backlight disposed on the side opposite to the viewer side of the liquid crystal panel 40, the color filter substrate 10 is provided with a semitransmission reflection layer 12 having a light transmission part and a light reflection part, a first color filter 13 formed corresponding to the light transmission part of the semitransmission reflection layer 12 and a second color filter 14 formed corresponding to the light reflection part of the semitransmission reflection layer 12 and having color purity different from that of the first color filter 13 and the surface on the liquid crystal layer side of the second color filter 14 is protruded more than the surface on the liquid crystal layer side of the first color filter 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
