<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically improve the hit ratio by dispensing with updating of retrieval data on a conventional database when newly adding and disposing of a retrieval object in a shelf management system for retrieving a large number of retrieval objects stored in a shelf. <P>SOLUTION: This shelf management system has a tag stuck to the retrieval object and storing a retrieval key composed of a fixed primary key and a secondary key capable of updating at any time, a reader-writer for reading and writing information in the tag, and a means for presenting a summary of retrieval candidates coincident with the retrieval key by reading out the retrieval key from the tag stuck to the large number of retrieval objects stored in the shelf by controlling the reader-writer on the basis of retrieval indication inputted by the retrieval key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
