<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform automatic discrimination for an unauthorized driver on the basis of driving operating information. <P>SOLUTION: A car navigation device 1 is provided with a driver discriminating function by using its system. Information about a present position is taken by a position detector 3 and corresponding road information is taken from a map data inputting unit 8. Information about control inputs to a steering wheel 15, accelerator 16 and brake 17 and the like is taken and stored in an external memory 12 together with information about road patterns and the like. A road is divided into small segments, attributes are given to the road in reference to information along the road and driving operation at the time of traveling at the segments is estimated according to similar road information stored in the external memory 12, and information about practical driving operation is compared with the estimated driving operation to discriminate whether or not they are similar to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
