PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transmission of image data from being interrupted halfway even if a battery is operating. SOLUTION: An image to be transmitted is selected (step S20), and the battery is checked for detecting the remaining amount of battery (step S22). It is determined whether the image data can be transmitted to the end, based on the amount of data of the selected image and the detected remaining amount of battery (step S24). When it is determined that no image data can be transmitted, a message is displayed which indicates that no images can be transmitted, and the transmission of image data is inhibited from the beginning (step S28), thus preventing the transmission of image data from being interrupted halfway by the depletion of the battery.
