PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color reproducibility by correcting a luminance signal even when a pixel signal contains an infrared light component. SOLUTION: Estimation arithmetic processing of the infrared light component mixed with a color signal of a pixel is performed by color filters before a luminance signal is generated from an input pixel signal, a luminance signal is generated according to the results of the color signal after the estimation arithmetic processing, and an image signal is generated by using the generated luminance signal and a color difference signal to improve the color reproducibility even if infrared light is mixed with the pixel signal.
