PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set the convenience of which can be improved. SOLUTION: The telephone set is provided with a number notifying key 49 used to inform an opposite party during a call about a telephone number, which is a telephone number of data, when one item of data of a telephone directory is selected at the operation of the number notifying key 49, or informs of the telephone number of one item of call origination history data, when the call origination history is selected, or informs of the telephone number of one item of call termination history data, when call termination history is selected. Furthermore, when a numeral key for entering a registration number of an abbreviation dial is operated immediately prior to the operation of the number notifying key 49, the telephone set informs the opposite party about the telephone number, corresponding to the registration number of the abbreviation dial.
