PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance transportation efficiency, when radioactive waste is transported to a disposal site, enhance efficiency of transportation work to the disposal site and disposal work at the disposal site and control various information on the radioactive waste at the disposal site. SOLUTION: The radioactive waste 1 is contained in a storage container 3 in a pool 2, and the storage container 3 is stored in a container for transportation 4. Then, the transportation container 4 is lifted out of the pool 2, and water in the storage container 3 and the container for transportation 4 is drained through through-holes 10a, 12a to dry the interior of the storage container 3 and the container for transportation 4, with the storage container 3 being stored in the container for transportation 4.
