PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rail cleaning device for a passenger conveyor, preventing the worsening of riding comfort of passengers and deterioration of footstep rollers by effectively cleaning a rolling face of a guide rail to remove dust, and eliminating the necessity of manual cleaning work. SOLUTION: This guide rail cleaning device is arranged on the guide rail 5a guiding the footstep rollers 3a of footsteps 3 connected to an endless footstep chain 4 inside a truss 2, and cleans the guide rail 5a. The guide rail cleaning device is provided with a cleaning tool 11 which is provided between the footstep rollers 3a guided by the guide rail 5a and is slid on the guide rail 5a along with the movement of the footstep rollers 3a.
