PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label affixing device that peels a label from a paper mount and affixes the peeled label to an item such as a bottle, the device being designed so as to be easily used even if an item to be labeled has a different outside diameter. SOLUTION: The label affixing device separates the label 702 from the paper mount 701 by a peeling edge 4 conveying a label sheet 7, and affixes the label 702 to an item 8 while rotating the item 8, wherein the peeling edge 4 is swung by an angle adjustment handle 104 using a rachet mechanism to adjust the position of the peeling edge 4 in relation to the item 8.
