PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction-terminal unit in an engine starter for improving reliability of a waterproofing cap which is provided to the junction-terminal unit for changing the direction of protrusion of a first-shaft terminal protruding from a switching part. SOLUTION: The cap 32 is attached to an upper cylindrical part 31b of a cylindrical switch-side support part 31 to be formed in the junction-terminal unit 27. The cap 32 is made up of an internally fitting-piece 32b inserted in an upper-side cylinder hole 31b, a thin-walled flange piece 32d which is brought into contact with the end of the cylinder of the upper-side cylinder hole 31b, and an externally fit piece 32e to be fit to a small-diameter cylindrical part 31f formed at the end of the upper cylindrical part 31b.
