The card has a display with light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a pushbutton, where the display is activated by a serial measuring bus (SMB)-bus. The card exchanges data by an inter-integrated circuit (I2>C)-bus and the serial measuring bus (SMB)-bus with system components. The card communicates with the server via intelligent platform management interface (IPMI)-protocol by the SMB-bus. The card is provided with a standby voltage, which withdraws the card directly from a power supply. The card is supplemented by a key pad as a user-interface.
