<p>To produce, directly from an image data (102) at a high rate, a frame data to be supplied on a DMD-by-DMD basis to a plurality of micro-mirrors (40) constituting each of DMDs. It is sequentially determined, from the front-end pixel data position of the image data (102) to the rear-end pixel data position thereof, whether plot points are formed in respective memory cells in a direction in which addresses in a memory area, in which the frame data are stored, are aligned. At each of the foregoing pixel data positions where the plot points are formed, the value of a respective memory cell in the memory area is converted from a value "0" to a value "1", based on a number that identifies a micro-mirror (40) forming a respective plot point sequence along a scan direction of the image data (102) and also based on both a frame number and an offset value from an initial position of the micro-mirror (40) to an image front position in the scan direction, thereby producing the frame data (116).</p> |
