<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain data communication between a peripheral device and an information-processing device even if an SCSI command issued to a peripheral device such as a reader/writer is to be rejected in principle by the peripheral device. <P>SOLUTION: An Inq (1) command is issued by a PC 3 side so as to return a VPD from a multi-reader/writer 2. Data [0x10] indicating a switch position reading command is described in an allocation length area of Inq (1) data generated at that time. Then the Inq (1) data is transmitted to the multi-reader/writer 2. The Inq (1) data is received on the multi-reader/writer 2 side to generate a VPD. Then, data [0x01] indicating the result of detection of a switch position is written to a 7-byte area of the VPD, and then the VPD is returned to the PC 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
