<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator switch with a required functional switch on an in-car operation panel without the need for soldering or connecting work for the switch or mechanical work for mounting an indication plate. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator switch device comprises: a touch panel type liquid crystal display 16 provided in a switch box 4 of the elevator car control panel 1. The switch relating to safety in the switch box 4 is a mechanical switch 15. A switch 16a to be used in optional specifications is provided on the touch panel type liquid crystal display 16, and display characters showing the application or function of the switch 16a are displayed on the liquid crystal display 16.
