PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-mold label and a packaging container using it without giving rise to dislocation, wrinkle, backward creeping of resin, or lowering of yield, and also to provide a packaging container for a storage battery excellent in vapor barrier properties, with an in-mold label free from hydrolysis by influence of moisture or the like in the air, and also excellent in electrolyte resistant property. SOLUTION: Of the in-mold label with a first thermally adhesive resin layer, a first adhesive layer, a metal foil, a second adhesive layer, and a second thermally adhesive resin layer laminated in that order, the first and the second thermally adhesive resin layers consist of resin of the same kind, with a coefficient of static friction of exposed face of the first thermally adhesive resin layer of 0.40 to 1.0.
