PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent resolution from deteriorating, by wavelength dispersion in optical fiber, even when the optical fiber is used in OCT measurement. SOLUTION: Light L emitted from a light source unit 2 is divided into a measuring light L1 and a reference light L2 by an optical splitting means 3, and an optical path length of the reference light L2 is regulated by an optical path-length regulating means 10. The measuring light L1 is wave-guided to a measuring object S by a probe 20. The reference light L2 is multiplexed by a reflected light L3 from the measuring object S, when the measuring object S is irradiated with the measuring light L1, and an interference light L4 is detected by an interference light detecting means 8. Tomographic images of the measuring object S is acquired by an image acquisition means 9, based on the interference light L4 detected by the interference light detecting means. The wavelength dispersion due to the optical fiber of the probe is compensated therein by a dispersion compensation means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
