PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new thermo-reactive smell generating component having excellent reliability as contamination or electrical insulation failure of peripheral equipments is restrained when detecting abnormal overheating temperature, and an electrical equipment using the component. SOLUTION: This thermo-reactive smell generating component 1 accommodates a smell generating substance 3 in a container 2 on which a smell emission port 4 is formed, the smell emission port 4 being sealed by a sealing agent (sealant) 5 which melts at a predetermined temperature.
